Thomas E. Geistfeld, age 77, of Hudson, WI, passed away at his home on February 17, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1947 in Rochester, MN to parents Emil and Viola (Wolter) Geistfeld. He graduated in 1964 from Garden City High School in MN. He worked at different electric companies through the years before opening his own business, SunnySide. Tom married Theresa Thrune on May 25, 1974 in the Northern Shore and welcomed their son into the world in 1977. They settled in Prescott, WI where they lived for 45 years before moving to Hudson In 2019. They were very blessed to be able to travel to many destinations together, and made many great memories with friends and family.

Tom had many friends and was always very kind to others. He loved to fish, snowmobile, shoot skeet and hunt with his Prescott friends, but after his granddaughters Piper and Tessa were born, his world would revolve around them. He loved to spoil them with anything they wanted. Being up at the cabin was his favorite place to be. He loved to have fish fries, fires and taking his granddaughters out on the lake tubing and fishing.

He will be missed by his wife of 50 years, Theresa; son Tomm (Pam) Geistfeld; granddaughters Piper Grace and Tessa Jean; siblings Vinton (Claire) Geistfeld, Ruth (Joel) Hansen, Theodore “Ted” Geistfeld, Luther (Jean) Geistfeld, and Faith Bergemann; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Viola Geistfeld; sister-in-law Judy Geistfeld and brother-in-law Scott Bergeman.

A memorial service for Tom will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Church Highland Campus, 504 Frontage Rd, Hudson, WI 54016. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. with a service starting at 11 a.m. Luncheon is to immediately follow. Memorials are preferred to the family.

  1. Dear Theresa and family,

Tom was very generous in the sharing of his Time and Talents, to the benefit of our beautiful campgrounds. He will be missed. RIP my friend.

  2. Theresa and Family

So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing.
It is never easy even when you have had the chance to say good-by. Much harder when you don’t get the chance.
It has been said that when you die, you die twice. Once when you actually die and again when people stop telling your stories.
