Thomas E. “Tom” Wells, age 64, of Gig Harbor and Cle Elum, Washington, formerly of Hudson, Wisconsin died unexpectedly on March 11, 2025.

Born on February 14, 1961 in Hudson, Wisconsin, Tom was raised in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School in 1979. Tom graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. He met his wife Jenifer in Bozeman and they were married in 1991. Tom owned and operated Greater Seattle Floors for thirty years.

Tom had a passion for the great outdoors, whether he was camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, or just enjoying a day on the boat. One of Tom’s biggest passions was elk hunting in the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming with his brothers, family & friends. He loved nothing more than gathering with family and friends. Tom enjoyed cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams. His profound generosity extended beyond his family; he was always there to lend a listening ear or a helping hand for anyone in need. Many will remember him as the man who was perpetually triple-booked yet always showed up, and was always only ten minutes away.

Tom’s love for life was evident in everything he did, from his incredible gardening and cooking skills to his treasured trips to Dairy Queen. He had a special bond with his beloved dogs Kirby & Edgar, and he took pride in the joy they brought to his life. He also enjoyed winding down with some FOX News and sharing a good laugh, thanks to his tremendous sense of humor.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Jenifer, his brothers & sisters John (Sue) Wells, Dan Wells, Mary Wells, Pat Wells (Dave Lamangan), Margaret (Greg) Sanderson, Jeanne (Jeff) Denis; sisters-in-law Bonnie Wells, Jackie Wells, Vickie Carroll, Lori Carroll (Debbie Sanchez), Amy Vergith (Angel Quilles); and numerous nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death parents John & Anita; brothers Mike & Tim; brother-in law Roger Morgan; nephew Syber Wells; parents-in-law Thomas & Earlene Carroll.

Visitation will take place 3-7 PM Wednesday March 19 at O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday (3/20) at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St. Hudson with visitation at church 10-11 AM. Memorials preferred to Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

His service will be livestreamed HERE.

  1. I don’t even know where to start. You were the best friend anyone could ask for! You were a hardworking, loyal, generous, honest, fun and funny guy. All the days/nights I would spend at the Wells’ home on 3rd Street during high school, you would think I lived there. The guy, who when us guys would show up to head downtown Hudson up for some beers, would inevitably be sleeping, and we all knew you would be. After your nap, you usually followed it up with, “Jeanne, make me a sandwich!” I loved all of our texts, and talks every couple of weeks, and I’m gonna miss those immensely! Thanks for your friendship all these years ,and you have no idea how much you’re gonna be missed by myself and A LOT of other people!!! I loved ya to the end…..RIP my dear friend!
To Tom’s wife Jeni, and his family, my heart breaks for all of you, and I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this.

  2. Tom was one of the strongest and most thoughtful human beings I have ever known. Like all of you I was shocked and sadden by his untimely passing. Jen and family I pray for you through this difficult time. I am proud and honored to call Tom my friend.

  3. Tom was a one-of-a-kind person that lived a truly remarkable life. I feel lucky and honored that I had the privilege to know him and call him a friend. When someone as special as Tom lives the way he did, his legacy is sure to live on through the many lives he touched. The kindness and joy Tom brought to the world will never be forgotten.
Please take comfort in your memories and the knowledge that Tom left a lasting impact on a lot of people throughout his life.

To Tom’s wife,Jenifer and his family, my heart breaks for each of you during this very difficult time. May God bless you all.
