Thomas Palmsteen

Thomas Lynn Palmsteen, age 65 of Hudson, died December 12, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born February 25, 1952 in Osceola, Wisconsin;  the son of Cecil and Joyce (Holmen) Palmsteen. He attended Oak Lawn Country School in rural Osceola prior to graduating from Osceola High School. He would further his education at Dunwoody College. On October 26, 1974, he was united in marriage to Debra Anne Neidermire at Assumption Catholic Church in East Farmington. Tom worked for many years for Andersen Windows and was a proud member of their Quarter Century Club before retiring.

Tom thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors. He loved spending time with his friends at Krooked Kreek Golf Course in Osceola.  He loved all Wisconsin sports, but held a special place in his heart for the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed walking his dog, Buddy as well as hunting and fishing earlier in life. His greatest love was his family. He was ever so proud of his sons and loved to go to his grandchildren’s sporting or school events.

Tom is survived by his wife, Deb of Hudson; sons, Ryan (Angie) Palmsteen of Lino Lakes, MN and Chad (Miranda) Palmsteen of Victoria, MN;  grandchildren, Tommy, Logan, Paige, Carson, and Reese; siblings, Kay (Darroyl) Newcomer of Hudson and David Palmsteen of Cable, WI; sister-in-law, Bev Palmsteen of East Farmington, WI; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lyle Palmsteen.

Mass of Christian Burial for Tom will be 10 AM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment will be 1:30 PM Saturday, December 16 at Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery in East Farmington. Memorials are preferred. Funeral Service and Cremation have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory.
