Thomas Joseph Salmon, age 87, formerly of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away September 23, 2021 at Comforts of Home in Baldwin.

Thomas was born a twin on February 13, 1934 to parents, John and Honora (Barrett) Salmon In Cylon Wisconsin and grew up on a farm south of Hudson. He graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1951 and served 2 years in the US Military after a two year college stint in the Twin Cities.

Tom, as he was known by friends, spent nearly 50 years in the food, beverage and hospitality industries, including many years at Hudson’s JR Ranch. Tom’s 1967 Pontiac Lemans convertible was his pride and joy and he proudly drove it in countless parades for many civic causes. Tom excelled on water skis and loved plying his craft on the St Croix river in his younger days and on the Oconomowoc chain of lakes into his fifties.

Thomas will remain in the hearts of his remaining sibling, Colette (James) Ruemmele; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Eleanor Salmon, Mary Fischer, Rita Salmon, John Salmon, Barbara Doody, Honora Lynch, twin Joan Salmon, and Eloise Abbott.

As Tom generously donated his body to the Medical College of Wisconsin for research, services will be held at a later date. “Tips Up Tom.”
