Tim “Bulldog” Holmberg

Tim “Bulldog” Holmberg, age 60, of Baldwin, WI, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.

Tim was born on June 1, 1962 in Eau Claire to Robert “Duke” and Ethel (Wilkenson) Holmberg. He attended Menomonie High School, and later married Amanda “Mandy” Nelson.

For much of his career, Tim was a semi truck driver. When at home, he enjoyed riding Harleys, 4-wheeling, camping, and taking care of his family. He was the most generous man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. If you knew Tim, you knew that he loved blasting old country music and his favorite song, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”. He was quite the smart talker too.  He was famous for his one liners. None of which we can share here because, well, if you know, you know!!  His favorite # was always 7.  Actually his answer for most questions was… 7.  He was the most loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be forever loved and deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Mandy; children: Dan Holmberg, Jess (Jason) Traxler, Cody (Kerri) Holmberg, and Alicia Holmberg; grandchildren: Brady & Brielle Holmberg, Jadynn & Jace Traxler, Sawyer, Aubree, Dawson, and Austin Holmberg, and Leo Deocares; father, Duke Holmberg; sister, Tami (Mike) Klinger; niece Allie Klinger (Josh Gibis); great nieces, Keira and Maiya Gibis; and longtime best friend, Jim Lambie.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel; grandson, Bennett Lucas; father-in-law, Robert Nelson; friend, Tom Ernest; and Jim’s son, Christopher Lambie.

Per Tim’s orders, no services will be held. Burial will be at Cedar Falls Cemetery in Menomonie, WI.

  1. You will sorely be missed, Tim! I am thankful our paths crossed. We all had some great times camping, you had the best music, too. My favorite memory was my first tow ever, towing ya’ll 23 miles, giving ya’ll whiplash the whole way. 😄 My thoughts and prayers are with Mandy and the family. Another good one taken way too early. 😢 RIP my friend.
