Timothy “Tim” Lee Niedfeldt, 68, of Hager City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, surrounded by his family. Tim was born on January 11, 1956, in Billings, Montana, to Herbert and Inez (Mathiason) Niedfeldt. A 1974 graduate of Red Wing High School, he married Brenda Goulette on October 29, 1983, in Red Wing. Together, they built a loving family and shared a life filled with adventure and laughter until Brenda’s passing in 2006.
Tim worked as a truck driver and crane operator at Wieser Concrete, where he embraced the challenges of his job and found great fulfillment in his work. He was known for his determination, quick wit, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Tim had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing with his sons and close friends. He especially cherished hunting trips to South Dakota, where he built lasting friendships with members of a Mennonite community. He also loved attending classic car shows and had a lifelong appreciation for country music, which often accompanied him on his work travels.
Tim will be remembered for his hard work, deep love for his family, and generous spirit. He was always the “go-to guy,” ready to help without hesitation. His sarcastic humor and quick wit brought joy to everyone around him, and his legacy of kindness and determination will live on in those who knew him.
Tim is survived by his two sons, Nicholas of Hager City, WI, and Christopher (Taylor) of La Crosse, WI; sisters Jill Kohrs of Lake City, MN, and Karen Stuart of Red Wing, MN; mother-in-law Shirley Granheim of Ellsworth, WI; sisters-in-law Julie (Jason) Frion of Ellsworth, WI, and Karen Anderson of English, IN; brothers-in-law Jason (Julie) Frion of Ellsworth, WI, and Robert Goulette (Alma) of Alma, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Mia and Tippy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; his parents, Herbert and Inez; his brother James Niedfeldt; his sister Judy Mattlock; father-in-law Richard Granheim; and brothers-in-law Bill Kohrs, John Mattlock, and Randy Anderson.
Tim would want his loved ones to know that he is now reunited with Brenda, finally having the date they waited 18 years for. He is at peace, free from pain, and grateful for the love and support of those who meant so much to him.
