Timothy McConaughey

Timothy Mark McConaughey, age 62, resident of Minong, WI, passed away at his home, surrounded by family November 2, 2021.

Timothy was born January 9, 1959 to parents Robert and Maxine (Anderson) McConaughey in Stillwater, MN.  He graduated from Hudson High School in 1977. He dedicated his career to Andersen Windows, starting in the factory and finishing as a mechanic. He enjoyed many aspects of the industry.

Timothy spent his time in life doing the things he loved the most. He grew up very close with his family and was always there to lend a helping hand. He met Mary Jo in 2001 and fell in love. They married on March 13, 2003 and spent their life making wonderful memories together.  He enjoyed riding his ATV, camping, hunting, fishing, skiing, working with his hands and most of all being with his family and friends. In his younger years, a weekend of water skiing and camping was common and teaching his daughters how to ski brought him joy. Later in life, he spent more time camping and riding ATV trails. In recent years, he built a house and shop with the help of his wife and family. It was his dream home come true.

Timothy will remain in the hearts of his wife, Mary Jo McConaughey (Collier); children, Tanya (Dan) McConaughey, and Tamera (Jason) Johnson; sisters, Cindy (Raymond) Wichelman, and Tracy (Mike) Barr; brother, Keith (Lori) McConaughey; step-daughters, Sonya (Cory) Howard, Kelly (Cory) Smolinski, and Ericka Smolinski; 8 step-grandchildren; and many other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Bradley and Rodney McConaughey.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI.  Visitation will take place two hours prior. Burial to follow at Houlton Cemetery.
