Toni Darnauer

Toni Michelle Darnauer, age 46 of Hudson, passed away November 28, 2013 in Prescott, WI after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.  Toni was born April 2, 1967 in Kodaikanal, South India to Lyle and Lorraine (Olson) Darnauer.  She lived in India until the age of five when the family moved to Columbus, Ohio.  The family later moved to Huber Heights, Ohio where she graduated from Northview School.  Toni was baptized in Kodaikanal, India and confirmed into the Lutheran faith by her father, Lyle Darnauer.

Toni worked at many jobs during her life and was proud of each one.  She “retired” from her last job of working for about 12 years at Hudson County Market Deli, which she considered “her” store.

Toni enjoyed life and was involved in many activities.  She participated in Special Olympics for many years, with swimming being her favorite event.  She bowled with Stepping Stones and looked forward to their annual camping trips.  She was an avid garage sale shopper and used her buys as gifts, some appropriately. She liked going to “her” Faith Community Church, potlucks, and picnics.  Weekend movies were a treat, especially the nacho snack part.  She like traveling and did not complain on long road trips, but let you know she preferred flying.

Toni is survived by her mother, Lorraine Keister; sisters, Ruth Dyhr, Erica (Raleigh) Pickard and Hope (Neil) Kurtz; brothers, Tim (Cathie) Darnauer and Luke (Carol) Darnauer; step-sister, Lisa Keister; step-brother, Todd (Jill) Keister; many nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles.  She is also survived by her second family, Tom and Barb Pederson, and their daughters; house mates, Debbie Eggen, Janet Krear, Steve Suffner and Gary Olson; special friend, Shelley “Chopped Liver”””” Berglund; and many other loving relatives and friends.
