Tracy Bolier Nelson, 82, of Hudson, WI, sadly passed away on September 20, 2024. He was born on June 8, 1942, in Baldwin, WI, and was the oldest son of Roy and Edith Nelson.
In 1960, he graduated from the Baldwin High School. He was active in the Boy Scouts and had achieved the level of an Eagle Scout. Tracy was proud to have worked as a second mate on a private yacht owned by the Nash Family and sailed up and down the east coast.
In 1969 Tracy graduated from the U of WI River Falls with a degree in Business Management and went on to work as an accountant at Bemis Corp. He was a dedicated employee and made lasting contributions during his time there until retiring in 2001.
Tracy enjoyed the outdoors, trout fishing, hunting ducks, pheasant and deer. He was a member of the Hudson Rod and Gun Club and had served as its treasurer for several years. He was proud of his hunting cabin he built in Northern Wisconsin. He loved his two Brittany Spaniel hunting dogs, Tuck and Kody.
Tracy lived his life on his own terms and followed a regimented daily routine, including his trip to get coffee and donuts in his retirement years. He loved his daily crosswords and watching the Wheel of Fortune. He was known to his friends and family for his dry sense of humor.
Tracy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Drew and Brent.
Survived by son Collin (Mandi) Nelson; grandchildren Colton, Aaliya, and Avyana; brother Mark (Sherry); sister-in-law Lynn; nieces & nephews Brad, Paige, Kristine, Erin, Kelly, Kevin, Andrew and Adam.
In his 82 years he saw a lot of change, starting from World War II on to now. He will be missed and will remain in his loved one’s hearts forever.
Gathering of friends and family will be held noon-1pm followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson. Interment will follow at the Baldwin Cemetery.
