Travis Allen Smith, age 36 of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly February 21, 2014.  Travis was born May 1, 1977 in Rice Lake, WI; the son of Margie (Haus) Quinn and Allen Smith.  Travis graduated from Hudson High School, the class of 1995.  He was a accomplished wrestler and football player in High School.  Travis was a hard worker who took pride in his work as a business owner of Croix Concrete in Hudson, serving the greater St. Croix area.  Travis was also a proud father of his 3 sons, Beaudee, Marco and Mikade.  He was an amazing father who loved his boys and found great joy watching his sons play baseball and hockey.  He also treasured his time boating on the river with them.  Travis had a special place in his heart for his sister, Trisha, whom he shared a birthday with, his little brother, Trevor, who preceded him in death, and his niece, Madison and nephew, Hunter.  He received the nickname “Bucky” at an early age from his aunt from his childhood mannerisms which delighted the hearts of many.  He always cherished his time with his family and enjoyed hanging out with his friends.  Travis took great pleasure in working out and found importance in maintaining his fitness.  He was a devoted Green Bay Packer fan who enjoyed watching football games.  

 Travis will be dearly missed by and remain in the hearts of his sons, Beaudee Allen, Marco Trevor and Mikade David Smith; his parents, Margie (Tom) Quinn of Spooner and Allen (Debbie) Smith of Rice Lake; his sister, Trisha (Dustin) Danielson of Hudson; niece, Madison Danielson; nephew, Hunter Danielson; godparents, Gary & Laurie Haus and Dale & Marilyn Smith; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Trevor; grandparents, Fred & Irene Smith and Al & Barbara Haus; and uncle, Albert Haus.  

 A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Highlands Church, 504 Frontage Rd., Hudson.  Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.  Interment will take place at Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake, WI.  Active casketbearers assisting with the services are:  Jeremy Gazdik, Taylor Flattum, Todd Smith, Larry Boumeester, Jimmy Boumeester and Ryan Duley.  Honorary casketbearers will be:  Jeremy Penman, Josh Penman, Jesse Penman and Chad Freiberg.  Memorials are preferred.  Funeral services have been entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home (715) 386-3725.  www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com
