Trevor Jon “TJ” Bevers, age 34, of Hudson, was set free from the grips of mental illness and addiction on March 24, 2025, in Hudson. As difficult as it is for those who loved him to understand, TJ is now at peace in the arms of Jesus.
TJ was born on November 7, 1990, in Stillwater, Minnesota, the son of Tony and Tracy (Klatt) Bevers. Raised in Hudson, he attended Willow River Elementary, Hudson Prairie and Hudson High School before graduating from the Wisconsin National Guard Challenge Academy. Over the years, TJ had many jobs. However, his favorite job was working for the Willow River Company as a landscape laborer. Despite the rods in his back from scoliosis, he refused to let it define him, embracing hard work with determination and grit though his back pain.
TJ cherished his nephews and loved spending time with them.
Growing up, TJ was a gifted athlete on the baseball diamond and could certainly hold his own on the wrestling mat. He also enjoyed a competitive round of golf or just hitting balls. He remained an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Vikings and had a keen knowledge of all sports players and stats. Music was theraputic for TJ , listening to Christian, Country or the beat of an Eminem song. In fact, he even wrote his own lyrical raps, in his journals to release his emotions.
TJ had a heart of gold, especially for those who were struggling. He understood the pain of hardship and displacement and never hesitated to offer whatever help he could to those in need. Though he experienced both joy and pain, the weight of mental illness became an overwhelming force. Even in the midst of his own struggles, he was always quick to express gratitude and appreciation. When he wasn’t fighting his demons, he had a smile that would light up a room and a keen sense of humor.
Through his challenges, TJ’s spirituality grew as he read the Bible, listened to podcasts, and followed spiritual figures on social media-wisdom he often shared with those around him. He faced many obstacles in life with courage and strength. Mental health struggles do not define a person, and TJ was so much more than the pain he endured. May his story remind us to show kindness and support to those who are struggling.
TJ will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Tony and Tracy of Hudson; sister, Tierney (Michael) Dubay; nephews, Camson, Truett, ; sister-in-law Ali Wendt; nephews Elijah, Amos; grandparents, Wendell (Jan) Klatt; aunts and uncles, Roger (Patsy) Bevers, Beth (Dewey) Swanson, Keith (Becky) Bevers, Sandra (Doug) Klatt, Colleen (Andy) Enloe, Tim (Lynn) Klatt, Tom (Toni) Klatt, Troy (Shelly) Klatt, Trish (Bill) Nelson, and Tayne (Jason) Hall; as well as a host of cousins. He was welcomed into the peace that is beyond all understanding by his siblings Tory, Tara, Tyler; as well as grandparents Duane and Carol Bevers, uncle Gary and cousin Cody.
