Trudi Alice Owen of Ellsworth, Wisconsin passed away in Mankato, Minnesota on October 19, 2022 at the age of 69.

Trudi was born July 10, 1953 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Marvin and Alice (Lee) Johnson.  She was a 1971 graduate of Ellsworth High School.  Not long after graduation Trudi met and married the love of her life, Dennis Owen.  On October 26, 1974, they said their I do’s with small gathering of close friends and family.   She and Dennis were blessed with their two children, Tim and Mandi.  Trudi could often be found doing crossword puzzles and word searches.  She was also an avid reader and loved a good mystery novel.  But if you were to ask her what her true passion in life would be, her answer without hesitation, would be her four beautiful granddaughters.  Nothing meant more to her then getting the chance to be with her girls.

Trudi leaves behind her husband of almost 48 years, Dennis; children Tim (Heather) Owen and Mandi (Tom) Rohl; grandchildren, Whitney Owen, Payton, Payslee and Paige Rohl; sister, Terri (Cal) Landry and Elizabeth “Betty” Anderson; in-laws, Lois Melstrom, MaryAnn (Ralph) Gilberston, Sharon Owen and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Marvin and Alice; brother William (Jeanne) Hartfield; in-laws, Kenneth and Lucille Owen, Royce Melstrom, Bernard Owen, Judy Owen and Jim Anderson.

A visitation for Trudi will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at O’Connell Family Funeral Home 130 N Grant Street, Ellsworth, Wisconsin.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 11am, also at the O’Connell Family Funeral home in Ellsworth, starting at 11am with a visitation 1 hour prior to service.
