Tulgren Buck

Ferris “Buck” Ronald Tulgren, age 83, of Hudson passed away March 14, 2020 surrounded by his family at home. He was born on May 10, 1936, in Clear Lake, WI to Donald and Rosella “Sally” (Lien) Tulgren.  Buck attended Hudson High School and was proud of serving his country in the National Guard. Buck worked for thirty years with the Ford Motor Co. in St. Paul before retiring in 1992.

On August 6, 1960 Buck was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathryn “Katy” Zezza. Over their 44 years of marriage the two were blessed with four children: Helen, John, Ann, and Tom. Buck loved his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He meant the world to all of them and they will remember him calling out to his “Little Sweethearts.”

“Times gone by,” Buck loved to be around people and had a large circle of friends. Whether he and Katy were sharing good times at the Rustic Hut, “Fishing on Fridays” down at the Sports Club, or up north snowmobiling, they liked to have fun.  Buck also enjoyed tinkering in the garage or sitting in the screen-house. While in the screen-house, Buck enjoyed spending time with family and friends along with a cold Michelob Golden Draft Lite and listening to his music or the ‘Garage Logic’ radio show.

Buck is survived by his children Helen Richie, John Tulgren, Ann (Brad) Henningsen, and Tom (Michelle) Tulgren. He is survived by eight grandchildren: Taylor (Anas), Morgan, Nick, Kaitlyn, Talia, Gianna, Jeramie, Marissa (Antoine); and two great-grandchildren: Fajr, and Camryn Sophia. He is survived by his brothers, Jerry (Ellie) Tulgren, Jim (Sharon) Tulgren; and sister, Susan (Bill) Bradley and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Katy; and his parents.

Private funeral services for Buck have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson. Public Celebration of life is to-be-determined for later this summer.
