Virginia “Ginny” Lindus

Virginia “Ginny” Lindus, age 84, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the St. Croix County Health Center of New Richmond.

Virginia was born on December 28, 1933, the daughter of Jake and Esther (Doornink) Blok in Baldwin, WI. She graduated high school and went on to attend college to become a Nurse.

Ginny worked many years as a Registered nurse for various care centers and nursing homes with a distinguished level of pride, commitment and responsibility. On June 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Lindus; their union was blessed with five children. Ginny and Dick shared a lifetime of unbreakable dedication and happiness for 66 years before Richard’s passing in June of 2017.

Virginia was a devoted nurse, but her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She showed endless support for her children and grandchildren whenever she could. Ginny was also incredibly proud of her faith; she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Woodville as she often dedicated her time to being a Sunday School Teacher Ginny had a special place in her heart for music; she played piano and possessed a beautiful, distinct singing voice.

Virginia is survived by her children, Greg (Robin) Lindus of New Richmond, Kevin (Emily) Lindus of Luck, Sandy (Jim) Hackenmueller of Roberts, and Larry Lindus of Roberts; grandchildren, Misty (Scott) Couch, Danielle Johnson, Ricky (Kacie) Lindus, Brent (Katie) Lindus, Andy (Molly) Lindus, Adam (Staci) Lindus, Alex (Jaimee) Lindus, Roger Lindus, April Hackenmueller (Billy Ross), Laura Leary (James Ziemer); great-grandchildren, Bennett Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Cora Lindus, Bowen Lindus, Louie Lindus, Brant Couch, Sarah Couch, Noah Lindus, Easton Lindus, Emilia Lindus, Gavin Hessler, Lauren Lindus, Emersyn Lindus, Alayna Lindus, Addison Lindus  Alise Lindus, Tristyn Hackenmueller, DeWayne Leary; grandchildren at heart, Samantha Ross, Jonathan Ross; siblings, Bernice (Bernard) Lewis, Elaine Quinn and Marv Blok; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends including her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Crystal Jean Lindus; great-grandson, Christian Lindus; parents, Jake and Esther; brothers, Johnny Blok and Marsh Blok.

A Funeral  Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 10, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Woodville, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service as well as from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2018, at The O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, WI. Interment will be at the Baldwin Cemetery. Funeral Services have been entrusted to The O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
