Wade Daniel Wodarczyk, age 35 of Ellsworth, WI, died on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his home of an unexpected health episode. Wade was born August 10, 1985 in Red Wing, MN to parents Leonard M. and Debra K. (Christensen) Wodarczyk. Wade grew up in Ellsworth and attended Ellsworth High School. He worked for many years as a lawn care specialist and auto mechanic, and during these past two years, had returned to the classroom at Dakota County Technical College to become further certified as an automotive technician.
Wade was very mechanical. He liked working on all kinds of cars and trucks, and also enjoyed mowing and landscape work. Wade appreciated the beauty of nature, and captured many beautiful sunset photos on his cell phone camera. At the young age of ten, he received a life-saving award from the Boy Scouts for exhibiting calm and courage in an emergency involving his grandmother. Wade was strong, tall, and big-hearted. He was good with kids, and had a special place in his heart for animals and dogs, especially his beloved dogs Luna and Rhyno. His plans, dreams, and ideas were never selfish, as they always seemed to revolve around ways for him to better help and show care to others – the kind of son, brother, and friend that would help anyone. These are some of the genuine qualities that made Wade who he was, and he will be missed dearly by family and friends alike.
Wade is survived by his mother, Deb Peterson; his father, Leonard (Karen) Wodarczyk; his sister, Anne (John Hunt) Wodarczyk; his grandpa, Charles Christensen; aunts and uncles, Mark (Suzy) Wodarczyk, Roxanne Wodarczyk, Dennis (Leslie) Foss, Darrin (Tammy) Foss, and Barry (Nikole) Christensen; step-aunts and step-uncles; great-aunts and great-uncles; as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Helen Wodarczyk, and Sharon and Merle Foss; and his uncle, Danny.
