Warren Albert Rode, age 76 of Hammond, died on December 2, 2018 at Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin.

Warren was born on January 28, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota; the son of Howard and Dorotha (Daschler) Rode. He attended St. Paul Park High School. On February 13, 1965, Warren was united in marriage to the love of his life, Diane Ankrum and together they were blessed with 2 children, Roger and Robin. Warren spent most of his life farming as well as working for Nor-lake Inc. for 18 years.

In his younger years, Warren and his brother, Don enjoyed skiing and roller-skating together and with friends. Warren had a passion for farming and gave his heart and soul to tending the lands and caring for the animals. He was extremely hard working and was a gracious loyal friend. Warren would give you the shirt off his back if he could. He carried a dry but good sense of humor wherever he went and could put a smile on anyone’s face when they needed most. Warren developed a strong and diligent faith in God that would help him through dark times. His greatest accomplishment in life was his family. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and always supported and encouraged them. Warren was a very caring and wonderful man and will be dearly missed.

Warren will remain in the hearts of his wife of 53 years, Diane; children, Roger (Pam) and Robin (Chad) Falde; grandchildren, Aryn and Devyn Rode and Taylor and Trista Falde; brother, Don (Shirley) Rode; brother-in-law, Roger (Ardella) Ankrum; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Dortha; parents-in-law, Fred and Hilda Ankrum; and nephew, Craig.

A Funeral Service for Warren will be at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Hammond United Methodist Church, 825 Broadway St., Hammond, WI; with a visitation beginning at 12:00PM at the church. Interment will take place in the Hammond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
