Wayne Nelson, age 83, of North Hudson, WI passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Wayne was born on July 27, 1937 in Knapp WI, to parents Arthur and Goldie (Ford) Nelson. He graduated from Menomonie High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his service he returned home and began his career at Andersen Windows where he was employed for 33 years and was a proud member of their prestigious Quarter Century Club

Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman through and through. He loved nothing more than to be at his trailer on Spirit Lake catching bass and tooling around in his Alumicraft.  He will be missed greatly by his brothers Jerome Nelson of Hudson, and Sheldon (Barbara) Nelson of Hudson; nieces and nephews Ryan (Janice) Nelson and Crystal Nelson of Hudson, Tammy (Gordy) Meyer of Hawaii, Tracey Nelson of Menomonie, Laurie (Mike) Rothbauer of Colfax, Nick (Hannah), Hannah (Matthew) Goodrum, Ryannah Nelson, as well as special cousins, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Joel Nelson.  

A private service with burial will be in the Ford Cemetery near Menomonie at a later date. Services have been entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home.
