Willard Moeri, age 78, passed away on December 2, 2023 at The Deerfield in New Richmond.

 

Willard was born in Chippewa Falls, WI to Willard and Lucille (Hingsberger) Moeri. He graduated from Oshkosh High School and went on to the University of Wisconsin where he earned a degree in herd management. Over the years, Willard held many different jobs including farmer, steelworker, concrete administration, and school bus driver, but his favorite was being the Village President of Roberts. He loved his community and was on the board for over 20 years. Willard married Margaret Moeri and enjoyed 19 years of marriage.

 

Willard enjoyed playing pool and cards in his free time and, in his younger years, he would often go hunting and fishing.

 

He will remain in the hearts of his wife, Margaret “Maggie”; sons Steven Moeri, David (Angela) Moeri, and Justin Polen-Moeri; stepdaughter Emily Elsenpeter; grandchildren Courtney, Brandon, and Jenna; brothers George (Betty) Moeri and Robert “Bob” Moeri.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lucille.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, December 7th, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. A Funeral Service will be held the following day on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 12:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson, WI with visitation one hour prior.

  1. Rest in Peace Willard always was fun growing up saying Hi to you on the bus and listening to you dispatch everyone even on the crazy snowy days! You had it under control! Fly high my friend! You will be missed
