Willetta Breault

Willetta (Nee Hope) Breault, age 83 of Hudson, WI, died May 18, 2017 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.

Willetta was born on June 20, 1933 in Hammond, WI. She was one of two daughters born to Lawrence ‘Corky’ and Ella (Holman) Hope. Willetta graduated from Hudson High School in 1951. While here, she loved performing as a majorette. Following high school, she furthered her education at the University of Minnesota learning the trade of dental hygiene. She was united in marriage to John ‘Jack’ Breault in Wilmington, Delaware on March 21, 1953. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Willetta was always active in church and community affairs. She enjoyed her time on Bethel Lutheran Church council and helping at the annual Scandinavian Food Fest. She also took great pride in helping with city of Hudson elections and the Marie Blakeman Senior Center. As a young woman, she loved the outdoors and learned how to hunt and fish with her dad. Moreover, she was a gifted marksman and was a member of the University of Minnesota Rifle squad. Most importantly, she loved being the matriarch to her family. She and Jack enjoyed 64 years of marriage and raising their children. She thoroughly loved being a cub scout mother and rooting her boys in football and other sports as she never missed a game! In fact, when the boys played for the U of MN Gophers, they had a play called Willetta after their mom. She loved cooking and baking as many of her recipes are printed in the Bethel cookbook.

Willetta will remain in the heart of her husband of 64 years, John; sons, Greg (Barb) Breault, Steven (Sue) Breault, and Gary; daughter, Carolyn (Butch) Knauff; grandchildren Corey (Amy), Brandon (Christine), Joe (Josie), Carley (Tryg), Deanna (Tyler), ten great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including Arlayne (Chris) and Adrian (Bob); as well as other relatives and friends.
