Frederic Duane Winkoski, age 84, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 19, 2020 at his home in Hudson, Wisconsin, surrounded by family. Frederic was born to Edward and Mary (Wendt) Winkoski on January 11, 1936 in Berlin, Wisconsin. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee before pursuing his career in retail management, spending 32 years with JC Penney and various post retirement jobs into his 70’s. He also served in the National Guard for 7 years.

Frederic was united in marriage to Mary Ann Crivello April 4, 1959 in Milwaukee and was blessed with five children Jeff (Karen), Jodi, Julie, Jill and James. Though Frederic loved all of life he looks back to the season of raising his family with fondness. Along with his family Frederic loved everything outdoors; fishing, hunting, feeding the birds or deer, mowing the lawn, and time up in Hayward. He enjoyed a good Scotch, spending time with his dog Mickey, and was an excellent cook. As a kid Frederic was an altar boy and a self-proclaimed troublemaker. Before her passing in 2018, Mary Ann and Frederic could be found eating at out of the way bars, spending time at the casino, dancing and going to church.

Over the last 16 months, Frederic’s gratefulness of his family was not overlooked. He took advantage of the time he had and connected with each of member of his family in a special way.

Frederic will remain in the hearts of his 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren; sister, Glenne (James) McMonigal; in-laws, Michael and Gail Crivello, Ted and Therese Poulos; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded by his wife, Mary Ann; and his parents.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Frederic will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson on Saturday, July 25th, 2020 at 12:00 noon with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
