(nee Van Heukelom) Age 50, of River Falls, WI, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis, MN following a courageous battle with Leukemia.Melinda was born on November 21, 1963 in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of Jerome “Jerry” and Beryl (Helders) Van Heukelom. She was a 1982 graduate of River Falls High School. Melinda married Randy Zellmer on May 4, 2002 at First Covenant Church, River Falls, WI.Melinda was a very selfless, caring person. She was always thinking of others. Her family always came first and meant the world to her. Her daughter, Tia, was her pride and joy. She always looked forward to attending all of her school events and cheering her on at her sporting events. She loved baking, knitting, sewing, jewelry making, and other crafts, the holiday season and traveling.She will be forever missed by her husband Randy Zellmer of River Falls, WI. Daughter, Tia Harris, River Falls, WI. Parents Jerome “Jerry” and Beryl Van Heukelom, River Falls, WI. Brother Duane (Bernadette) Van Heukelom. Step-sons: James (Tracy) Zellmer and Zachary Zellmer.
