Margaret J. Schladweiler

Margaret J. (Jansen) Schladweiler, age 97, passed away April 6, 2014 at the Plum City Care Center.She was born November 27, 1916 to George and Mary (Reuther) Jansen in Salem Township, WI. She grew up in Salem Township, a small country area called Herbert which consisted of a country school called the Herbert School and a grocery store.Margaret was united in marriage to John J. Schladweiler on October 11, 1938 at Clayfield Catholic Church. They lived and farmed in the Grange Hall area of Pierce County until John’s health prevented him from continuing farming at which time they moved to Ellsworth. Margaret worked for Kermit and Doris Larson at Larson’s Red & White Grocery Store.Margaret enjoyed counted cross stich, reading Danielle Steel books and watching “Days of Our Lives”.She is preceded in death by her husband, John; sons, Joseph and Eugene Schladweiler; two sisters and one brother.Margaret is survived by three children, Rose Mary Huppert of Ellsworth, Kenneth Schladweiler of Ellsworth, Joan Allivato of Crystal, MN; one brother, John (Rosie) Jansen of Red Wing, MN; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
