Irene Julia Kay of River Falls, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Lutheran Home in River Falls. She was born June 16, 1920, in Downing, Wisconsin to William and Lena (Templin) Breslin. Irene was an elementary school teacher for many years. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and golfing.Irene is survived by five children, Philip Prowse (Karen Melvin) of Plymouth, MN, Joe (Dawn) Kay of LaCrosse, WI, Dan (Marilyn) Kay of Danbury, WI , Susan (Joe) Kay Brown of Menomonie, WI, and Richard Kay of Sydney, Australia; daughters-in-law, Kathy Kay of Tucson, AZ and Ruth Kay of River Falls; as well as 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husbands, Horace Prowse and Eugene Kay, sons, Leslie Kay and Jeff Kay, and all her brothers and sisters. Cashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family.Online condolences may be made at www.cashmanhillfuneralservice.com
