Patrick Huppert

Patrick J. Huppert, age 60, passed away on July 17, 2014, while on an annual fishing trip in Canada.Born in River Falls, WI, Pat was youngest son of Walter and Peg Huppert. He was raised on the family farm and worked at Enstad’s Dairy Bar, Equity, and GTC before graduating from RiverFallsHigh School. He attended Minneapolis School of Drafting before beginning a career as a draftsman at Vollrath in 1976, designing walk-in coolers. He also worked at Widman Manufacturing, another walk-in manufacturer. For the past 34 years, he was an Application Engineer for walk-in freezers at at Norlake Incorporated and was looking forward to his coming retirement. Pat was a dedicated employee, respected and revered by co-workers and contacts alike.His family was his number one priority. Always a people pleaser, saying “No” was his greatest weakness. He was a skilled carpenter, ever eager to work on one of Debbie’s projects and pass on his knowledge to his sons. He was a dedicated father. As a seasoned musician, he enjoyed giving Brandy and his friends advice about their band. He loved coaching soccer and was his kids’ biggest fan at their sporting events. He was awarded the title “Mr. Hockey” during Travis’s hockey years.His favorite pastimes were being a grandpa to his new grandbaby and grandsons, being a huge Packers fan and losing his mind over games, family vacations, spending every day with the love of his life, Debbie, teasing and being a jokester, and singing and drumming in a country band for 12 yrs. He counted down the days to his annual fishing adventure to Graham Rd with his fishing buddies, son, Travis, and son-in-law, Jeremy, where he spent his final days.Pat was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Brandon Brenna.He is survived by the love of his life, Debbie, whom he married in 1980, son Travis Huppert (Emylee) of Largo, FL, daughter Maggie (Jeremy) Atteberry, granddaughter Rylie Brandy, and step grandsons Karsen, Kaiden and Kamren Atteberry of Chaska, MN, brother Mick (Louise) Huppert of Petersham, MA, brother Tim (Linda) Huppert of Roberts, WI, mother-in-law, Romaine (Don) Schone, sisters-in-law, Sandra McTie, Kathy Most (Tim) and his dear nieces, nephews and many special friends. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to River Falls Community Arts Base, 439 West Maple Street, Suite 109, River Falls, Wisconsin 54022.
