Donald Kent Hove, age 78, of Ellsworth, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his home.Donnie was born March 5, 1936 in Ellsworth, the son of Otto and Dalla (Block) Hove.He was a 1954 graduate of Ellsworth High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1960. Don also served in the Army Reserves in Ellsworth after his service in the Army. Donnie married MeraJeanne Swanson and she died in 1975. On November 28, 1979 he married Laurette Franks. Donnie spent his entire working life at Hove Automotive in Ellsworth. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, golfing, bowling and was always ready with a joke.Donnie is survived by his wife Laurette.Three children: Craig Hove, Kris (Dick) Hines, and Ladonna (Tom) O’Neil.Four grandchildren: Ben (Megan) Hines, Isaac Hines, Jordan Hove, and Brielle O’Neil.Two great-grandchildren: Taelyn and Ryland Hines.Three sisters and two brothers: Mary (Dean) Holden, David (Mary) Hove, Ann Jahnke, Carol Denninger, Barry (Rita) Hove.He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his first wife MeraJeanne, infant daughter, parents, brothers Joe, Junior, Clair, sister Judith and brothers in-law Robert Jahnke and Loren Franks.Military honors will be accorded Donnie by the veterans of Ellsworth.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth, WI is assisting the family with the arrangements
