George “Bud” Edwin Beardsley, age 59, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the River Falls Area Hospital following a courageous battle against cancer.

Bud was born on March 1, 1955 in Red Wing, MN, the son of George J. and Elizabeth (Nelson) Beardsley.
He was a 1973 graduate of Ellsworth High School and has worked for the S.B. Foote Tanning Company for the last 40 years. He loved NASCAR racing, playing softball, snowmobile racing in his younger years, listening to country music and watching Sponge Bob Square Pants with the grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne (Nee Burnham) Beardsley, Ellsworth, WI.

Step-children: Michael (Carrie) Donahue; Mark (Jess) Donahue; Karla (Darren) Price.
11 grandchildren.

Sisters: Trudy (Gary) Hultman and Rita Sumpter.

He is further survived by his best friends, his dogs, Gunner and Milo, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

His parents preceded him in death.

Mass of Christian burial for Bud will be at 11:30am, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Monday, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth and for one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday.

Memorials are preferred to the River Falls Cancer Center at the River Falls Area Hospital.
