Lyle Marvin Zastrow, age 88, of River Falls, WI passed away February 16, 2015 at Kinnic Health & Rehab in River Falls. He was born July 4, 1926 to Albert and Ella (Pfaff) Zastrow in Hannibal, WI. Lyle served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946 earning two Bronze Stars. On June 15, 1949 he was united in marriage to LaVerne VanLaarhoven in River Falls, WI.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Milfred; wife of 64 years, LaVerne Zastrow on February 4, 2015.

He is survived by daughters, Linda Zelig (husband, James Bohn) of Roseville, MN, Lila Zastrow (husband, David Hendrickson) of Seymour, WI, Lane Zastrow of Appleton, WI; two grandsons, Erik (Katie) Steen and Jeffrey Steen; great-grandson, Franklin Steen; sister, Norma Johnson of Eau Claire, WI; brother, Wayne Zastrow of Phillips, WI; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Zastrow of Medford, WI, Patricia Hable Zastrow of Sun Prairie, WI.

A joint memorial service for Lyle and LaVerne will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls, WI. A gathering of family and friends will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to VocalEssence, River Falls American Legion or Humane Society.
