Harvey John Dusek

Harvey John Dusek died April 5, 2015 at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN of complications following abdominal surgery.

He was born in River Falls, WI, on March 11, 1932 to Joseph and Mary Ann (Andrle) Dusek. He attended Clifton Hollow Elementary School and graduated from River Falls High School. After serving with the U.S. Army, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.

On April 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Diane Hall and they have been married for 59 years. He was employed for 35 years, at General Mills, first as a chemist and after earning an MBA, was the Legal Administrator of the Law Department.

He and Diane had 4 children, Douglas, Catherine, Gregory and Sally Ann.
He very much enjoyed his children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed playing baseball, and coaching Little League. He also enjoyed traveling to Alaska, wintering in Tucson AZ, and summers at Balsam Lake, WI. He enjoyed playing bridge for many years.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and infant child, Sally Ann.

He is survived by his wife, Diane, children, Douglas (Nataliya) Dusek, Catherine DeYonge, and Gregory Dusek, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Alzheimer Disease Research.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 9, 2015, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls, WI. Visitation will be at the church 1 hour prior to Mass starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery in River Falls.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date in Plymouth, MN.
