Dr. Kenneth Alvin Johnson

Dr. Kenneth Alvin Johnson, 93, of River Falls, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at The Lutheran Home, River Falls, WI.
Kenneth was born on September 20, 1921 in Clear Lake, WI the son of Tom and Edith (Vick) Johnson. He attended U.W. River Falls and later transferred to Marquette University School of Dentistry, Milwaukee, WI, where he earned his DDS. Kenneth attained the rank of captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as a fighter pilot in the Pacific Theater from 1941 until his discharge in 1946. Kenneth married Jean Alberta Campbell on July 29, 1944 in Laguna Beach, CA while on leave. Together they made their home in River Falls and had three children, Susan, Scott, and Bruce. Kenneth practiced dentistry is River Falls for 50 years retiring when he was 80.
In his spare time Kenneth enjoyed golfing with his golf group, the Black and Whites, going on many fishing trips to Canada with his friends and traveling the U.S. and abroad.
He was a member of the River Falls Lions Club, the American Legion, and the First Congregational Church, River Falls.
Kenneth is survived by his sons: Scott and Bruce (Ellen) both of River Falls, WI.
Five Grandchildren: Stephanie (Lou) Krueger, River Falls, WI; Sam Johnson, Honolulu, HI; Rachel Johnson, St. Paul, MN; Zachary Johnson, River Falls, WI; Brent Johnson, Duluth, MN.

Two great-grandchildren: Ellie Krueger and Asher Johnson, both of River Falls, WI.

Sister, Dorothy Friedl, River Falls, WI.

Preceding him in death was his wife Jean, daughter Susan, his parents, and a brother Gordon.

Funeral services for Kenneth will be 11:00am, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the First Congregational Church, River Falls, WI. Reverend Chris Myers will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls, WI. Visitation will be from 4-7 Tuesday at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, and for one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Wednesday.
