Vera Mae Eaton, 86, of Ellsworth, died peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Spring Valley Health & Rehab, Spring Valley, WI.
Vera was born on March 4, 1929, in Ellsworth, WI the daughter of Clarence and Nora (Harvey) Meyer.
Vera was a 1947 graduate of Ellsworth High School. The summer she graduated she worked for a telephone company in Eau Claire, WI, and returned to Ellsworth to work at Ellsworth Telephone Company until the system went dial up. She married Wayne Lorin Eaton, October 26, 1948 at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, WI. Wayne and Vera lived in River Falls, WI from 1948-1952, when they returned to Ellsworth to start up Eaton’s Heating and Sheet Metal, where Vera worked as a bookkeeper and office manager from 1952-1988.
During her years she traveled to France, Hawaii and for 12 years to West Palm Beach, FL. She also traveled to Puerto Rico, and Trinidad West Indies to visit her daughter and son-in-law where they sailed the Caribbean. Vera was a lifetime member of the Ellsworth Order of the Eastern Star for 56 plus years. She loved her children, grand- children, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and flowers.
Vera is survived by her 4 children; John (Nancy) Eaton of Baldwin, Greg (Kris) Eaton of Ellsworth, Patricia (Anthony) Renk of Ellsworth and Steve (Linda) Eaton of Ellsworth.

Great-Grand-Children; Ashlyn Sallander, Eva Sallander, Jonathon Eaton, Chelsee Griffith, Tyler Griffith, Lilah Eaton, Charles Eaton, Paige Harlow, Lezlee Harlow, Alicia Lutscher and Brandon Lutscher.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents, 2 year old great-grandson John Eaton Jr., brother, Donald Meyer, niece Karen (Meyer) Huber and brother-in-law Lyle Olson, Helmer Myhre(uncle), Betty Mhyre(aunt), Eric Olson(grand-nephew) and several cousins.

Funeral Services for Vera will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015, English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Hill Funeral Home Ellsworth, with an O.E.S. service at 6:45 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church.
