“Kenneth Orval Hinz, Sr., age 86, of River Falls, WI died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Comforts of Home in River Falls. He was born July 2, 1929 in Elmore, MN to John and Hulda (Nimz) Hinz. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On January 24, 1953 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Blaisdell. Ken worked on the EJ Clinton farm until 1956 when he started working at AW Lund Garage as an auto mechanic. He was later employed at UWRF for 18 years until his retirement in 1996. After retirement he continued to farm and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, a grandson and son-in-law.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty of River Falls; children, Kenneth, Jr. (Rita) Hinz of Menomonie, WI, John (Sheila) Hinz of Baldwin, WI, Jeff (Jane) Hinz of Star Prairie, WI, Joanne Weeks of River Falls, WI, Janis (Lon) Moon of River Falls, WI, Jacquelyn Hinz of River Falls, WI; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Keith (Bettie) Hinz of Ellsworth, WI, Gilbert Hinz of Monticello, MO; brother-in-law, Jerry (Onez) Blaisdell of Tallahassee, FL.; and nieces, nephews and friends

Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls, WI. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Monday at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls, WI.
