Robert “Bob” James Donnelly, 86, of Ellsworth, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Ellsworth, WI.
Bob was born on January 4, 1931 at home in the town of Salem, Pierce County, Wisconsin the son of William and Isabelle (McMahon) Donnelly. He was a 1948 graduate of Ellsworth High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob married Kathleen Langer in Minneapolis, MN on October 6, 1956.
Bob was a milk hauler for the Ellsworth Coop Creamery with a career that spanned over 5 decades. His devotion to his faith and family were as strong as his work ethic. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church where he gave of his time and talent by ushering and serving on the church council. In his post retirement, he distributed communion to those unable to attend mass and counted the weekend collection.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen; their children: Cindy Donnelly, Dan (Denise) Donnelly, Timothy (Lori) Donnelly, Karen (Ron) Webster, Scott (Linda) Donnelly, and Rick (Tacy) Donnelly; their grandchildren: Shannon and Mitchell Donnelly, Eric (Shannon) Donnelly, Tara (Dave) Simons, Andrea (Randy) Volkel, Bradley (Tina) Webster, Kellie (Dwayne) Lowman, Matthew Webster, Derek, Alex and Hunter Donnelly, and Zackary and Brady Donnelly and eight great-grandchildren.
Bob is further survived by his sisters Jean (Burt) Brickner and Joan (Denny) Wittenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Cal and Kenny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M., Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the Mass on Monday.
