Donald James Kimball, age 82, of Prescott, WI passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. He was born on February 4, 1936 in Valley City, ND to Charles and Beatrice (Walters) Kimball. Don served in the U.S. Air Force. On November 23, 1955 he was united in marriage to Carol Velure in Hastings, ND. He was a computer engineer for UNISYS retiring in 1991.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Kimball; infant son, Mark Kimball.

Don is lovingly survived by longtime special friend, Patricia Hertling of Red Wing, MN; his children, Scott (Joan) Kimball of Cottage Grove, MN, Anita (Michael) Peterson of Hager City, WI, Michael (Jennifer) Kimball of Chanhassen, MN; grandchildren, Bradly (Malee) Kimball, Jessica Kimball (Shaun Kelley), Maxwell Peterson (Samantha Bauer), Logan Peterson, Caleb Kimball, Bennett Kimball; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Kimball.

A memorial service for Don will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 18th at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 1339 Orrin Rd. Prescott, WI with visitation starting 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. 715-262-5404 www.oconnellfuneralservices.com.
