Dorothy E. McCann, age 92 of River Falls died peacefully May 1, 2018. Dorothy was born on March 19, 1926 in River Falls; the daughter of John and Olga Larson. She was raised in Beldenville, attending elementary school in Ellsworth prior to graduating from the River Falls High School.
She would be united in marriage to Patrick McCann on March 1, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She and Pat worked for Armour Meats in So. St. Paul for many years. She and Pat loved to travel the world. She enjoyed yelling ‘Bingo’ or playing euchre with family and friends. She loved all of her nieces and nephews as she treated them as her children.
She will remain in the hearts of her sister-in-law Florence Larson; nieces and nephews Penny (Wendell) Johnson, Jane (Keith) Charpentier, Judy (Jim) Wiedl, Suzie (Randy) Hendrickson, David (Kathy) Larson, Dale (Lisa) Larson, Lonnie (Karen) Larson, Patty (Roger) Berg, Margie (Jerry) Bazille, Diwaine (Nancy) Larson, Karen (Mark) Zuber, Debbie (Tim) Ronningen, Gary (Ranae) Larson and their extended families. She is preceded in death by her husband Patrick; parents John and Olga Larson; brothers Lawrence, Edward, Herman Larson; sisters Johanna Wieberdink, Marie Olson, and Margaret Peterson.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11AM Friday, May 4th at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church Friday morning. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls with casketbearers being Dale Larson, Diwaine Larson, Brent Johnson, Tom Johnson, Jim Weidl, and Keith Charpentier. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of River Falls.
