Mathilda “Tillie” Anna Louise Most

Mathilda Anna Louise Most, known affectionately as “Tillie”, died on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at United Hospital in St. Paul MN. She was 95. Tillie was born April 27, 1923 in Oak Grove Township to parents Adolph J. and Henrietta K. (Bohlken) Hanken. Tillie attended school in Prescott, and graduated with the Class of 1941. She would be united in marriage on March 28, 1948 to Clinton Most. Their union in marriage would be blessed with seven children, and three generations of grandchildren.

Tillie was a farm wife, who loved the farm life. Together with Clint, they ran a dairy farm, raised their family, and opened their doors to family and friends alike. Tillie was a mother to many, and had a heart of gold as well. She served as a Sunday school teacher, a 4-H leader, a 60 yr. member and past President of the Prescott American Legion Auxiliary, a past member of the Prescott Care Center Board of Directors, and a valued volunteer at the V.A. Hospital who logged over 2000 hours of service to others. Above all, Tillie relished in her role as a mom and grandma, and cherished time spent with her family. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Tillie is survived by her children, Jim (Renee) Most, Sue (Jim) Simonet, Mike (Shelly Wilson) Most, Barb (Dennis) Kiel, Mark (Patti) Most, Betty (Randy Baugher) Most, and Matt (Kathy Wochomurka) Most; her grandchildren, Terry, Michelle, Vanessa, Shawn (Brittany), Joshua, Gabriel (Natasha), Patrick (Lynette), Chanda (Jason), Jenni (Ben), Meghan (Matt), Jena (Joshua), Samantha (David), Thia (Joe), Nick (Kelsey), and Sarah (Nick); forty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, George Most; sisters-in-law, Iris Most, Helen Hanken; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Clint; grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, Peter, and Bailey; her parents; and her siblings Ray, Ralph, Bud, Arvin, Henrietta, and Mary Ann.

Memorial Celebration of Life Services will take place at 11:00am on Monday, August 13th at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1048 Campbell Street N in Prescott, with Pastor Tim Rosenow officiating. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services, and also from 4:00-7:00pm on Sunday, August 12th, all at the church.
