Alice B. Flaten, age 80 of Hastings, MN, passed away January 21, 2019 at her home with her sons by her side. Alice was born May 22, 1938 in Le Center, MN to Fred and Evelyn (Wohlford) Krueger. Alice graduated from Le Center High School, the Class of 1956. She went on to nursing school, and worked as a licensed practical nurse in the operating room at Regina Hospital for many years. Alice was united in marriage to Arden Stanley Flaten in 1963. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Kurt and Brian.

Alice and Arden enjoyed traveling, and were fortunate enough to visit all 50 states. They were fond of camping, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, and taking in the beauty of nature. Alice cherished her family, and loved spending time with her grandsons.

Alice will remain in the hearts of her husband, Arden; sons, Kurt (Rachael) Flaten of Kewaunee, WI, and Brian (Julie) Flaten of Hastings; grandsons, Erick, Sam, and Max Flaten; brothers, Galen (Carol) Krueger and Glen Krueger; sister, Nancy (Paul) Vollmar; brothers-in-law, Leroy Tiede and Jerry Tobias; many nieces and nephews. 

 
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Doris Tiede and Lois Tobias.

Funeral Services will take place 11:00 AM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 400 Ninth Street West, Hastings, with Pastor Lloyd Menke officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service, at the church. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
