John Victor Perry

John Victor Perry, age 82 of Baldwin, WI, formerly of River Falls, passed away unexpectedly March 1, 2019 at his residence in Baldwin, the Birchwood Apartments. John was born August 21, 1936 in Columbus, OH, to Jesse Samuel and Doris Jeanette (Scott) Perry. He attended school in Detroit, MI. After high school, John proudly served his country in the United States Army. John married Gloria Peterson on June 28, 1958. From that union, a son, Ricky and daughter, Roxan were born. John was later united in marriage to the love of his life, Sharon Stockwell on July 1, 1972. Their marriage brought the blessings of two additional children, Jonathan and Jennifer. John and Sharon shared 43 years of marriage together, until her passing on March 9, 2016. John worked as a boilermaker for Local 647 for many years.

Most important to John was his faith. He was a devoted Christian, who’s heart was most content reading the word of the Lord, and witnessing God’s love to those around him. John was a devoted member of the Apostolic Church of River Falls, WI for many years. For the last part of his life, John was attending LivelyStone Apostolic Church of Baldwin, WI. He enjoyed visiting with others, and loved spending time with his family, and especially delighted in playing Wii bowling with his grandchildren.

John will remain in the hearts of his sons, Ricky Sanders of Meridian, MS, and Jonathan (Grace) Perry of Hammond, WI; daughters, Roxan (Mark) Haggard of Meridian, MS, and Jennifer (Brian) Bault of Baldwin, WI; grandchildren: Adrean Sanders, Jurrien, Xiamara, and Jesiah Perry, Kaitlyn and Mark Andrew Haggard, Brianne, John David, Barak, and Jannelle Bault; great-grandson, Arik; 4 siblings, Luke Perry of Las Vegas, NV, David Perry of Kingman, AZ, Doris Rogers of Granada Hills, CA, and Esther Eastman of Onalaska, WI; as well as many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; his parents; brothers, Jesse, Danny, Sammy, and Paul Perry; and sisters, Mary Hayes, Martha Mitchell, and Becky Godwin.

A Visitation will take place 4:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth, WI, and one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 11, 2019 at Zion Covenant Church, 210 N. Beulah St., Ellsworth, WI, with Rev. Kevin Moss and Rev. David Bault officiating. Military honors will take place immediately following the service. Interment will take place at the Beldenville Cemetery.
