Gladys M. Beauchamp, age 85 of River Falls, WI, died early Friday morning, August 16, 2019 at the Wellhaven Assisted Living in River Falls. Gladys was born in Butte, MT on May 7, 1934, the second daughter of Clayton and Gladys Maxwell. She studied dance and was married to the Rev. Douglas Beauchamp on October 15, 1955 in Butte. With her husband and family, she lived in Butte, Whitefish, and Malta in Montana before moving to Minneapolis and then eventually to Hudson, WI, where she and her husband raised their seven children. In Hudson, Gladys resumed her dancing career, setting up a dancing school specializing in tap, jazz and ballet. After her husband’s retirement from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hudson, they moved to Janesville in 1989, where she set up the Beaujangles School of Dance. Gladys remained active in dance until 2011, both in teaching, and in coaching dancers for charity events like Dancing with the Stars.

Gladys is survived by 7 children, Tim Beauchamp of Seattle, WA, Bruce Beauchamp of Eagan, MN, Michelle (Bryan) Thompson of River Falls, WI, Greg Beauchamp of Houlton, WI, Robin (Leigh) Beauchamp of Savannah, GA, Jennifer (Vern) Tschudy of Janesville, WI, and Brian (Kelly) Beauchamp of Houlton, WI; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Douglas Beauchamp; her parents; her sister; and a grandson, Joshua Thompson.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 502 County Rd UU, Hudson, WI, with Father Guy Usher officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment will take place. Memorials preferred to St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity and Hudson Outreach.
