Betty Ann Webster

We regretfully announce the passing of Betty Ann Webster, age 87 of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, peacefully at her home, Sunday August 25, 2019. She was deeply loved and cherished by her family and will live on in hearts forever. Betty was born in Red Wing, Minnesota, on September 13, 1931, to William Sweet and Dorothy (Nelson) Sweet. She grew up on 7th street, Red Wing, Minn. Betty was a standout pianist winning awards in Minnesota, and later played the church organ for UCC. She graduated high in her class. Betty was employed in the office of Red Wing Shoe utilizing office and short hand skills, until her marriage to Loren K Webster. She was a stay at home mom raising six sons until all the boys were in school. During that time she helped build three homes. Betty went back to work part time in the office at the Ellsworth Community School. She took a full time job as an accountant at the Minnesota correctional Facility in Red Wing, MN. Betty and her three youngest sons built a home on County Road “C” between Red Wing and Ellsworth. She was active in the Ellsworth Sr. Center, The American Legion Auxiliary in Red Wing, and a Life Member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Keeping active, Betty helped with record keeping in her son, Dana’s business, and loved making her NFL picks and keeping track of the rest of the group. She was an extremely smart, Christian woman, who always had a kind word and loved people. She was a number one Mom.

Betty was preceded in death by her sons, Kerry Lee Webster, and Bruce Allen Webster. She is survived by her sons, James L (Rosemarie) Webster, Charlie (Kris) Webster, Dana J.S. Webster, and Jonathan L. (Patricia) Webster; and five grandchildren, Jacob (Ashley), Liz, Danny, Nathan, and Zachary. Thank you, Mom. We love you, till we see you again.

A Visitation for Betty will be held 5:00–7:00 PM Wednesday, August 28th at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at church. Funeral Services will take place 10:30 AM Thursday, August 29th at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, W5706 State Hwy 72, Ellsworth, with Pastor Adam Westrich officiating. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing, MN.
