Virginia Ann Pedersen, age 95 of River Falls, passed away peacefully January 3, 2020 at the Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls, surrounded by her family. Virginia was born July 4, 1924 in Boscobel, WI to Bert and Ethel (Crase) Richards. She attended Roberts school, and was raised in a busy household with eleven siblings.
She was united in marriage to Richard Pedersen on June 16, 1943. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children and 48 years of love and devotion. Virginia lovingly provided for her family as a homemaker, graciously providing a home full of unconditional love and caring to her family. Virginia was known as the caretaker in her family. She always made sure her siblings, nieces, and nephews were taken care of. She was devoted to her family and her faith, and enjoyed being a part of church circles throughout the years. In her spare time, Virginia appreciated crafting and sewing. She delighted in a good game of cards, especially 500. Virginia always looked forward to getting together with her Birthday Club friends and help those friendships dear to her heart.
Virginia will remain in the hearts of her children, Geraldine (Melvin) Nielsen of River Falls, Roberta (Richard) Masanz of Lakeland, MN, Peder (Jeanne) Pedersen of River Falls, Linda (Vern) Sandstrom of River Falls, and Thomas (Barb) Pedersen of New Richmond; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Darlene Richards of River Falls; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; and her eleven siblings, Lillian, Ethel, William, Bertis, Clarence, Amanda, Phila, Jessie, Betty, Bert, and Raymond.
Funeral services for Virginia will take place 1:00 PM Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, 202 S. 2nd St., River Falls, with Minister Kim Suhr officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the start of the service at the church. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.
