Mary Kliszcz

Mary Kliszcz, age 78 of River Falls died Saturday, February 15th 2020 at the Parkview Community Campus in Woodville. Mary was born on August 28, 1941 in River Falls; the daughter of Robert and Edna (Schulte) Dusek. She attended St. Bridget’s Parochial School prior to graduating from River Falls High School. She furthered her education with classes at the University of Wisconsin Stout. But her calling came from her going to beauty school as she became a licensed beautician. For over 40 years, she served the community at Mary’s Valley View. She was a trusted cosmetologist, but more importantly, a confidant that customers could share their life with. She simply loved being around others and their fellowship. Cutting hair gave her the perfect gift to make countless friends. She also loved entertaining. Her Christmas party with clients was one thing they always looked forward to. But that wasn’t to be outdone by the New Year’s festival she and Don threw for family and friends. Celebrating with her family and friends gave her the greatest joy. She was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. She raised her children with great respect and unwavering faith. She was a wonderful baker who jumped at the chance to make her delicious caramel corn, popcorn balls, spritz cookies, or other treats. She took great pride in her faith as a member of St. Bridget’s Parish Council of Catholic Women. Furthermore, she was faithful in leading the rosary before mass Sunday morning at church.

Mary will live on in the hearts of her sons David (Cheryl) Kliszcz of Loretto, MN, Paul (Barb) Kliszcz of River Falls; grandchildren Thomas, Scott, Ann, Brandon (fiancée Megan), Patrick, Tyler; siblings Darlene (Noel) Schraufnagel of Georgia, Shirley (George) Berger of Stevens Point, Elaine (Larry) Baumann of River Falls, Kathleen (Lou) Williamson of Amery, Roberta (Jim) Drewiske of Virginia; sister-in-law Robin Dusek of Illinois; as well as countless nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald (“Tiny”); her parents, and brother Phil.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery with her grandchildren having the honor of serving as urn bearers.
