Timothy Robert Tarras, age 51 of El Paso Township, died on Sunday, July 19, 2020 with family by his side. Tim was born February 25, 1969 in Henderson NV to parents Robert and Rebecca (Rupprecht) Tarras. Tim attended high school in Lewiston MN, and graduated with the Class of 1987. Tim made a career of serving his country in the United States Army, where he was trained in aircraft maintenance as a helicopter mechanic. While serving in the military Tim and Michele met. They were united in marriage on June 13, 1998 in Ozark AL.

Tim served over 25 years in the military. He enjoyed the camaraderie that came from helping others and serving one’s country. He was the kind of man who looked out for others, and always backed his soldiers. Tim enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, and cherished time spent camping with his kids. Tim was at his most content around the farm, where his kids and his animals brought him much happiness. He will be missed dearly.

Tim is survived by his wife, Michele; his children, Christopher, Nicholas (Lauren), Katelyn, Breanna, Danelle, Morgann, Terresa, Timothy, Isabella, Giovanna, Anamarie, and Nathanel; his granddaughters, Brooklyn, Eliana, and Ashlin; his parents, Robert Tarras, and Rebecca (Robert) Baer; siblings, Andrew and Alicia (Jason); mother-in-law, Nancy Fellabaum; sisters-in-law, Ellen and Melinda; four nieces; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Letti; and his father-in-law, Michael Fellabaum.

A Service honoring Tim will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the VFW Post 5727, 25 East First Street in Zumbrota MN 55992.
