Paul Seifert

Paul Matthias Seifert, age 87 of Prescott, WI, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 2, 2020. Paul was born July 24, 1933, in Germany to Fritz and Wilhelmina (Vetter) Seifert. Paul came to the United States when he was 28 years old. In 1961, Paul was united in marriage to Linda Louisa Schwallick. Their marriage was blessed with 58 years, five children, Matt, Catherine, Krista, Linda, and Paula, and many cherished memories. Paul worked as a Pipefitter Supervisor for Pioneer Power / Koch Industries and was a member of the Local 455 for many years.

A dedicated husband and father, Paul worked hard to provide and care for his family. Appreciating the beauty around him, Paul took great pride in maintaining his homestead, gardening, and landscaping. Paul enjoyed the peacefulness of the outdoors and being on the water fishing. Throughout his life, Paul delighted in the companionship of having German Shepherd dogs as part of his family. Paul was fortunate to share many travels with his wife and family throughout the United States and Europe. He was a faithful member of Joy Lutheran Church in Prescott, WI, many years. Paul will be fondly remembered as a man of true character and steadfast devotion to his faith and family.

Paul will remain in the hearts of his beloved wife of 58 years, Linda; his children, Matt Seifert of Prescott, WI, Catherine Seifert of River Falls, WI, Krista (Eric) Mitzuk of Prescott, WI, Linda (Van) Stockwell of Prescott, WI and Paula Seifert of Prescott, WI; grandchildren, Brie, Morgan, and Deven Seifert, Selah, Kyle, Deven, and Kaiden Stockwell; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Dean Seifert; beloved brothers, Georg and Fritz Seifert of Germany; nephews, Georg Jr., and Simon Seifert; and nieces, Wilma Förster, Gisela Seifert, and Wilma Seifert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Wilhelmina Seifert; sister, Christel Seifert; and brother, Carl “Heinz” Seifert.

A private family service honoring Paul’s life will be held at Joy Lutheran Church in Prescott, WI, with Pastor Steve Meyer officiating. Memorials honoring Paul are preferred to the American Cancer Society – Lung Cancer https://www.cancer.org/cancer/lung-cancer.html.
