Bernadine Feuerhelm

Bernadine “Bernie” Verona (Clancy) Feuerhelm, age 91 of Hager City, WI, went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2020.  Bernie was born on November 15, 1929 to Walter and Verona Clancy in Lansing, IA.  She was united in marriage to Ronald Feuerhelm on September 24, 1948 in Lansing, IA.  With this union, she was blessed with 10 children, 39 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren.  Bernie worked at Smeads in Hastings, MN, Langware in River Falls, WI and the Red Wing Shoe Company in Red Wing, MN.

Bernie enjoyed being with all her children and grandchildren, family and friends.  She also enjoyed making wedding cakes.  Within her lifetime, she made 100 or so.  She also enjoyed making quilts and she was always the first to volunteer with any project with the church.  She loved being the hostess of “Weekend at Bernie’s” for 24 years.

She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Red Wing, MN and also attended Crossroads Community Church (C3) in Ellsworth, WI.

Bernadine is survived by her loving children:  Kathi (Bruce) Jensen, Dannie (Janet) Feuerhelm, Rickie (Cherri) Feuerhelm, Nanette (Tom) Fox, Tambi Bauer, Kim Frandrup, Beth (Richard) Ruble, Jamie Feuerhelm and Scott (Debbie) Feuerhelm; daughter-in-law, Peg Feuerhelm; 39 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Bebe Truelson and Deanna Clancy; brother, Carl (Diane) Clancy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; son, Lonnie; granddaughters, Angie Feuerhelm and Nissi Young; son-in-laws, Kenneth Bauer and Kenneth Young; her parents, Walter and Verona Clancy; brother, Walter Clancy Jr; sisters, Betty Munchoff, Beverly Boise, Belva Gramlich, Barbara Leppert and Bonita McKee.

Funeral Services for Bernie will take place 2:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2020 at C3 /Crossroads Community Church, W7562 US Hwy 10, Ellsworth, with Pastor Matt Anderson officiating.  A Visitation (masks and social distancing required) will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service on Sunday, at the church.  Interment will take place at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Ellsworth.  Pallbearers assisting with the services will be:  Dannie Feuerhelm, Jamie Feuerhelm, Scott Feuerhelm, Tad Eggenberger, Matt Feuerhelm and Tony Feuerhelm, along with honorary pallbearer, Rickie Feuerhelm.
