Elaine Kaye Deal, age 67 of River Falls, WI, passed away December 20, 2020 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson, WI. Elaine was born December 22, 1952 in River Falls, WI to Orville and Edith (Retzell) Struemke. She attended River Falls High School and graduated from Prescott High School, with the Class of 1970. On February 19, 1976, Elaine was united in marriage to Paul Edward Deal at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. Their marriage was blessed with 3 sons, Greg, Shad and Blake and 44 years. Elaine lovingly raised her sons and provided for her family as a homemaker.
Family was everything to Elaine. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a caring heart for those around her and was a surrogate mother to many others who called her “mom” as well. Elaine was a strong supporter of her husband Paul’s military service, Platoon 1220 radio, and Vietnam Veterans of America. They enjoyed their summers up north at Red Lake. Elaine truly enjoyed music and was especially fond of the “good stuff” from the 60’s and 70’s era.
Elaine will remain in the hearts of her loving husband of 44 years, Paul; sons, Greg (Robyn) Deal, Shad Deal Sr. (Nicole Berning) and Blake Deal (former spouse Abby Deal); grandchildren: Gabriel, Rheanna, Thomas, Alyssa, Felix, Shad Jr., Ava, Logan and Levi; siblings, Chuck (Ricci) Struemke, David (Debbie) Struemke, Charlene (Mike) Auchampach, and Doug (Cheryl) Struemke; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Edith Struemke; sister, Charlotte; and brother, John.
A Visitation (masks and social distancing required) will take place 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 225 S. 3rd St., River Falls. A private family prayer service will be held. Interment will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
