Kevin Clement

Kevin John Clement, age 54 of Prescott, WI, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2021.  Kevin was born to Harold and Luella (Probst) Clement.  He graduated from Prescott High School with the Class of 1984.  Kevin proudly served his country in the United States Navy, honorably contributing 24 years of service, before retirement.  On January 5, 1999, Kevin was united in marriage to Bernice Renee De La Torre by a justice of the peace, and later renewed those vows with a church wedding at Saint Joseph Catholic on June 7, 2003.  Their lives have been blessed with two sons, Jacob and Jason.

Most important to Kevin was his faith, his family and his patriotism to his country.  Devoted to his faith, Kevin was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus and member of St. Mary Big River Catholic Church. He was a wonderful and dedicated husband and father.  A stay-at-home dad, caretaker to his oldest son, an amazing cook for his family – his boys were truly his world.  A heart of gold and guardian for those he loved most, Kevin was a protector to his family and his neighborhood, and always willing to help others out.  A true patriot, Kevin loved his country and was a proud advocate for his beliefs, “Pro God, Pro Life, and Pro Gun.”   Kevin had affection for animals and had an inseparable bond with his Rottweiler Bjorn.  Kevin was an avid hunter and faithful motorcyclist.  He loved his time on his Harley, the friendships gained through his time on the road, and was known to others as “Pirate.” Kevin was also known and loved as the Drunken’ Pirate for Halloween in Prescott.

Kevin will remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Bernie; his sons, Jacob and Jason; parents, Harold and Luella “Lou” Clement; siblings, Tom (Dolly) Clement, Brian Clement and Lynn (Greg) Belken; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Martha De La Torre; many dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.  He was preceded in death by his uncle, William “Billy” Probst and other beloved relatives.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at St. Mary’s Big River Catholic Church, W10137 570th Ave., River Falls, with Fr. Kevin Louis officiating.  Visitation (masks and social distancing required) will be held at church from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM.  Interment with military honors will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.  Pallbearers assisting with the services will be:  Jacob and Jason Clement, Tom and Brian Clement, Dave Lytle, Dave Chapin, Michael Opie Otterson and Robert Kosec.
