Jerry Wayne Dickie, age 83 of River falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Comforts of Homes in River Falls. He was born on July 30, 1938 to Harold and Ruth (Fox) Dickie in Cleveland, Minnesota. On May, 23, 1958 Jerry was united in marriage to Audrey Jean Mary Nussbaumer this union blessed them with five children, Jodie, Kathleen, Michael, Patrick, and David.

In his High School years, Jerry balanced playing four sports while also maintaining his status as president of the Letterman’s club. When he was not in school, he enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. Jerry’s fondness of fishing carried on into adulthood, which he would later share with his sons. If not fishing, you might have found Jerry working on a motor; anything from a car to a hairdryer he could fix. While sports, fishing and motors were all loves of Jerrys, nothing beat the love he had for his family.  He was a very kind, patient man. Jerry was the one his children went to when they needed help with their homework or a bowl of potato soup because they were feeling sick. Jerrys calm nature made it easy for him to teach his children to drive because he did not get upset. In the winter, Jerry spent time snowmobiling and X-country skiing with the family. In the summer, he would take his family camping up at “the cabin” where he enjoyed pulling the water-skiers, which he would do for hours. His children liked to keep him busy, as long as he was willing.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey; children: Jodie Williamson, Kathleen Pint, Michael Dickie, Patrick Dickie, and David Dickie; Siblings Allyn Dickie, Robert Dickie, and Lynda Rouillard; along with 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be at 11:00am Saturday, June 4, 2022 at O’Connell Funeral Homes and Cremation Services: 225 S. Third St. River Falls, WI 54022. A visitation will be one hour prior. Pastor Randy Simonson will officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
