Peter Marvin Anderson

If to leave this world a better place is to have succeeded, Peter Anderson, who died unexpectedly at age 50 on Saturday, June 20, was truly successful. His favorite saying may have been “doom and gloom,” but Peter found the “boon and bloom” in life. Carpenter Pete not only built houses and apartments, he built memories. Disney World, snorkeling and Coronas in Cancun, an ocean cruise and white water rafting in Colorado were among his favorites. Poker Pete loved his trips to Las Vegas to play Blackjack, Craps and his favorite, Texas HoldEm. Yet his greatest success was hosting the annual Anderson family New Year’s Eve party, featuring Tripoli. Food Connoisseur Pete highly recommended Subway for lunch, Pizza Hut for supper, Hershey Nuggets with Almonds for a snack and a fine vintage COKE. A proper post workout meal was a hardboiled egg, a glass of chocolate milk and a handful of cashews. A truly fine day was capped off with a bedtime bowl of Schwans ice cream. Farmer Pete was immensely proud of his strawberry rows, raspberry bushes and newly purchased wealthy apple trees. As family and friends raved about the bountiful harvest, Farmer Pete busted out his infamous ear-to-ear grin.Family Man Pete, the role most important and dear to him proved to be his greatest success. His loving wife, Bonnie, sons Ryan (Kayla), Alex and Jordan, “The Boys” Newt and Duke, and “granddogs” Tucker and Hendrix.
Also surviving are Peter’s parents Marvin and Joan Anderson, sisters Judy Rouleau, Lou (Charles) Hager and Bonnie (Michael) Munns, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. Peter was preceded in death by nieces Heather and Olivia.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 4-8 pm at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Habitat For Humanity to which Peter volunteered many enjoyable hours or the Humane Society.
