Marcia Lou (Hilleren) Williams passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 22, 2022 at her home. She was born June 3, 1941 in Benson, MN to Lawrence and Joyce (Tollefson) Hilleren. She attended Benson High School and graduated with the class of 1959.  On June 6, 1959, Marcia was united in marriage to Dale Williams.  This union was blessed with two sons, LaVern and Raymond.

In 1964, Marcia and her family moved to River Falls.  Marcia loved playing basketball as a child and enjoyed watching women’s basketball throughout the years.  She was a proud homemaker and valued being a mother and grandmother with family being the center of her life.  Marcia was fond of sewing, baking, canning, bird watching and especially enjoyed working in her many flower and vegetable gardens.  Through the years Marcia struggled with medical issues, but had the willpower to make everyday a great day!

Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Dale in 2021 and her parents Lawrence and Joyce Hilleren.

Marcia is survived by her children:  LaVern Williams and Raymond (Mary Beth) Williams; grandchildren, Garrett (Emily) Williams, Melanie (Kara) Williams and great-grandson Andrew.   She leaves behind her brother, Dell (Sue) Hilleren; sister, LeAnn (Carl) Ahrndt, both of Benson, MN; along with many nieces and nephews.

A family gathering to remember Marcia and Dale will be held the morning of Saturday, July 16th, with a gathering for friends and family from 2:00 to 4:30 at Johnnies Bar, 116 North Main Street in River Falls. A private interment for Marcia and Dale will take place this fall. In remembrance of Marcia, memorials are preferred to Grow To Share, Inc., PO Box 531, River Falls, WI 54022. Cremation services entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of River Falls.
