Donna M. Syverson, age 78 of Ellsworth, WI, passed away peacefully on Sept. 5, 2018 at her home. Donna was born May 8, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Arthur and Lorene (Collins) Knudsen. She graduated from St. Margaret’s Academy in 1958. Donna’s life was blessed with 4 children, Cheryl, Steven, Scott, and Lori. She was united in marriage to Robert Syverson on April 23, 1977. They shared 33 years together, until his passing in 2010. Donna was fortunate to meet David Twaites, her loving companion for the last 5 years, providing much happiness in the last chapter of her life.

One of Donna’s greatest joys was shopping. She always came home with a great bargain. Donna also liked to collect rocks, Knick knacks and other treasures. She enjoyed sitting out on her deck watching the birds and looking at her flowers. Donna enjoyed spending her summers camping at Shades of Sherwood. She also appreciated the warm weather and being a snowbird while wintering in Arizona. Donna delighted in experiencing the Minnesota State Fair and was sure to never miss a year of the “Great Get Together.”

Donna will remain in the hearts of her children, Cheryl (Greg) Tovsen, Scott (Julie) Bloch, and Lori (Dan) Heller; daughter-in-law, Judy Bloch; 9 grandchildren: Bryce, Jeffrey, Nicole, Kari, Katie, Tina, Chad, Cole, and Isabella; 5 great-grandchildren; her beloved companion, David Twaites; sister, Jean Wenzel, 2 nieces, Julia and Jill; and many dear Syverson family members.

Donna was preceded in death by her son, Steven Bloch; husband, Robert C. Syverson; and her parents.

A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2018 at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth. Family and Friends may gather one hour prior to the service. Private interment will take place at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
